Griya Patria Guesthouse

The word “griya” means “home” or “residential building” in Indonesian. With this definition, we manage Griya Patria with comfortable, homey concept on its structure and ambiance. The Griya Patria complex sets on a land of approximately 10,000 square meters owned by Mr. Wiratno Poespoatmodjo’s kinship. The private complex has 5 buildings, in which 2 are used for accommodation services and events venue (meetings, gatherings, retreats, book launches, weddings, etc), 2 are currently available for rent of office use, and 1 is rented by a swimming school. The main building of Griya Patria was built in early 1974 by the late Brigadier General Mr. Wiratno Poespoatmodjo, SH as a residence. On September 4, 1999, Griya Patria was officially established by Mr. Wiratno and inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture at the time, Mr. Marzuki Usman. Since then, several renovations have been accomplished to renew the property complex.

Mr. Wiratno along with his former-lady-combatant wife, the late Mrs. Maria Soemari Soeryo had been instrumental in efforts to bring forth high-school graduates in the field of Tourism. In those efforts, Griya Patria was then developed as one of the supporting facilities for the neighboring Tourism Vocational High School (SMIP) Patria Wisata and the Tourism Academy Patria Indonesia. The two educational institutes, also established by Mr. and Mrs. Wiratno are managed by Mr. Wiratno’s 2nd and 3rd family generation. The accommodation buildings, housing 21 rooms, 2 swimming pools, 2 small meeting rooms, and a Joglo house operating as an event venue, are regularly used for various practical classes and examinations for the tourism high school, Patria Wisata. Each year, students take advantage of the rooms, kitchen, and front office facilities at Griya Patria to fulfill their practical examination credits.

Thinking forward towards a business venture, the family decided to operate Griya Patria as a lodging facility open for public in October 2004. With facilities similar to a three-star hotel, Griya Patria is ready to provide you memorable experience at our classic-Javanese-home residence.

We constantly aim to develop our guesthouse as a green sanctuary in the middle of busy Jakarta. In effort to provide high-quality service during your stay, Griya Patria’s facilities include the following:

• Wi-Fi internet connection at the lobby and common areas
• Prayer room (mushola) at lobby level
• Quiet ambiance and safe environment

• 2 meeting rooms for up to 30 people
• Joglo house event venue for up to 500 people (also suitable for corporate meetings, BBQ parties, meditation retreats, book launchings, family events, etc.)
• Parking for up to 100 vehicles 
• Private complex with 24-hour security monitoring
• Catering services (yes, we cater for weddings and outside events, too!)
• Home-style bakery (we bake our own bread, buns, and cookies)
• Laundry service

For your paying convenience, we take cash in Rupiah and US Dollars,
Bank Mandiri debit card, as well as credit cards by VISA and Mastercard.

Payment to Griya Patria via bank transfer shall be directed to
our corporate and only bank account, under the name PT. Wimar Asih Lestari.
